What a great start to 2013!

First off lets congratulate Miss West on hitting its 3rd Chapter! We are very proud of Donald Kirby who has always been on top of his game rarely ever missing an update. He recently just dipped into “Chapter 3: The Stank” after a 2 week hiatus and is already on a roll!

NOW SAY HELLO TO VALOROUS TALES! We have yet to properly introduce this wacky comic created by Dashawn Mahone! It premiered February 14th 2013. The webcomic is only 13 pages in so you have plenty of time to catch up. Expect a lot of jokes, puns, and action in this webcomic!

We would also like to announce our other new webcomic “iWISH.” Created by our newest Artist/Member Alphonso Orozco. It premiered March 24th and is already 9 pages in! iWISH updates every Sunday only here on Cup of Comics! Follow two odd ball characters on their strange magical adventure!

We would also like to congratulate our CoC Artists Fil Romero and one of our newer members Brian Wolf for graduating college this year! We wish you the best of the luck in the work world!!! Also you should look forward to the return of Chameleon Charm in the near future as well as a premier of our newest webcomic Cradelpit Cave by Brian Wolf this summer! Then mid-late summer we will have two more webcomics on the way by Brandon Babcock and Heather Yu.

We hope you Teacups are getting excited because our artists have already started to attending Con’s and Festivals! Submissions Closing Soon!

Hey Teacups!

We got an update on Submissions! They will be closing on 2/14/13 and yes thats on Valentines Day. We also wanted to let you guys know that your still allowed to submit when the Submissions are closed! Though we cannot guarantee any proper reviewing time during closed periods, but we will however save them and possibly revisit them whenever the next time we open our doors.

This week we have a surprise so keep your eyes peeled! Then we will announce a list of Con’s that some of our members will be attending this year. Cup of Comics would like to thank everyone for their submissions so far. Seeing all that hard work and love for comics just makes us super happy!

Don’t forget if you wan’t news updates and comic statuses/updates you can also follow on us on our Facebook Page and or Twitter account! Its much easier to tell when a comic is on hiatus or back from one. We always reblog fanart on our Tumblr page so if you got’em let us know! You can also email them to us at our email under Contact Us by clicking on the email button on the top navigation bar!

More Information About Submissions

HEY! We wanted to go over two of the most frequently asked questions we’ve been getting lately. These questions are primarily related to the Submissions process. Maybe this will make things easier for some people.

Q: What Copyright will Cup of Comics have on my work?

A: Cup of Comics will never claim your work as our own. We give all our artists complete control and Copyright over their own comics.

Q: Will I be allowed to host my webcomic on other websites or does it have to be Cup of Comics exclusive?

A: We allow our artists to host their webcomics on other sites like Blogspot, smackjeves, deviantART, tumblr, etc. We will however not permit you to join another Comic collective like our own if your still apart of us. Also when posting your comic to another website we ask our artists to keep it several pages to one full chapter behind the ones posted on Cup of Comics. This is so that we can keep people coming to the main site more often.

Also just a reminder that CoC submissions will still be open for a while! We know we have no set date when they will be closing but we will give an annoucnement in advance when that date is. We would hate to close it without a warning.

We just have opened up our newest page/feature on the Cup of Comics home page! It is called “Submissions” and its currently OPEN! What does this mean? It means that anyone with a comic or an idea for one can pitch their ideas to become a possible member of the Cup of Comics!

Summer Fun is Over, But Now We Have Some Fall Fun!

Hey guys! you should totally check out the new addition to the Cup of Comics site! The brand new webcomic started up called “Chameleon Charm” artist Fil Romero! Updates Tuesdays!

Also we are going to plan on attending some possible cons in the near future. One of them is Anime-Expo (AX) in California and possibly Shuto Con in Michigan. Nothing is final right now, but they are very possible events that we might be attending with a table selling prints and who knows maybe by then a few books of some of our webcomics!

Please don’t mind our clutter some of our pages are kind of broken if you saw and we are working hard at fixing them up. The site needs to be reorganized and cleaned up a bit, but all the Webcomics are still going to keep posting as we tidy up the joint. SO DONT STOP READING!!! Some of our artists have been updating every other week or a little less lately don’t fret about that, try and remember our artists are young chaps with bright futures ahead of them. They have to also try and find paying jobs on the side so sometimes that is something that delays page releases. If your an avid webcomic reader then you know this is a common occurrence among most webcomic artists. TRUST US! We have strickt rules that keeps our artists posting somewhat often so don’t worry like we said before just KEEP READING! we will always be updating!
